Tyson Fury Dominates Derek Chisora.

Both fighters came into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a challenge. Chisora fighting for Tyson’s WBC heavyweight world title. Tyson looking to defend his title. Chisora looked calm during his walkout showing no nerves to the crowd. This contrasts to Tyson’s loud and expectedly entertaining walkout. The crowd chanted to a mashup of “3 Lions” and the infamous “Mr Brightside” by The Killers. It was obvious to see the crowd’s favourite for the fight.

Round 1 started off with fireworks with Fury dominating the start. Landing good body shots then cutting the ring down forcing Chisora into the corner. This is where Tyson gains such an advantage over Chisora. Using his 6’9 frame to land shots without competition.
Round 2 is when it started to look bad for Chisora with Tyson landing a strong body shot that hurt Chisora. Then it was good work by Fury to push him into the corner. However again good work to avoid further damage.
Round 3 started strong again for the Gyspy King however was then met back with a strong array of punches from Chisora. Fury had a change to end the fight after a perfect headshot which clearly hurt the competitor. However, the determined and battle-hardened Derek Chisora dealt with the attacks. The round was the ended by what appeared to be a rugby tackle style clinch by Chisora.
Round 4 was another solid round for Fury landing shot after shot to the body. This was then met by Chisora landing some slow and weak punches. Tyson kept his distance and used his reach advantage to push ahead and to win the round on points.
Round 5 started well for Chisora by landing 2 body shots. This was then met by Tyson throwing Derek back into his corner. Fury using his reach advantage really evolved this fight from a simple fight to a technical masterclass from Fury. Using every inch of his 6’9 frame to work Chisora down.
Round 6 was where it changed. You could start to see Chisora run out of steam. Looking rather sluggish and out of control. However, a second wind appeared for the Zimbabwe born boxer. Landing a solid right hand on Fury’s head yet this wasn’t enough for Chisora to win his first round. David Haye even commented during in round analysis “Total domination” for Fury’s side.
Round 7 out of 12, Fury lands a big right-handed uppercut on Chisora. Both fighters landing solid body shots to each other. Chisora managed to keep Fury under his control for this round and landed good shots which landed him and chance to end this fight. However, Fury managed to keep his cool and regain control. Round 8 Fury dominated. Landing good shot after good shot which could end the fight in some circumstances. However, Chisora held up well and managed to stop the array of shots. Fury’s stamina really came into play. Fury prancing round the ring dominantly. “I’m surprised Chisora is still standing’ was said over commentary. Then the round ended by the two fighters touching gloves. A nice sign of respect from the two friends. Round 9 Chisora struggled with the onslaught. Trying to hold Fury in the clinch. However, Fury’s right and left cannons attacking was too much. Round 10 the fight was ended by ref stoppage. Chisora showed heart and bravery however just couldn’t handle the performance from Tyson. It was a losing war for Chisora. The ref made the right decision by stopping the fight. Another win onto Tyson’s decorated record and keeping his WBC world heavyweight title. Chisora’s heartfelt performance didn’t emphasize fans with the decision meeting an accord of boos by the crowd. Towards the end of the in-ring interviews. Tyson challenged Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk setting up the dream fight for many boxing fans.
